Mental Health First Aid Training (FREE)
May 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based program which uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to assess a mental health crisis, select interventions and provide initial help. The training also addresses the risk factors and warning signs of specific illnesses like anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and substance use disorders.
Participants in the 8-hour class will receive a booklet on Mental Health First Aid and a certificate naming them a mental health first aider. The trainers are certified and experienced in providing this educational opportunity.
Mental Health First Aid Classes are free and are based on an international program designed to help individuals, first responders, family members and others to understand mental illness and how to help persons suffering from various disorders.
