The mission of the Senior Peer Program, a program focused on prevention, is:
- To reduce the number of seniors suffering depression, loneliness and grief;
- To increase the senior clients' ability to care for themselves; and
- To enhance the quality of life and sense of wellness, despite the challenges of late life
The following services are offered:
Senior Peer Program: Trained senior volunteers provide one-on-one service for clients in their homes or at a community location. Volunteers are instructed on the common behavioral health issues and challenges of aging.
Support Groups: Trained senior volunteers lead these free groups. Confidentiality is a key component of every support group. Groups are Men's Support, W.O.W. (Women of Wisdom), Senior Friends Together Support Groups, Low Vision Support Group and Artful Aging (Crafting Your Purpose).
Support groups are free, and the schedule is as follows:

Women of Wisdom, Tuesdays, from 10:00a.m. to 11:30a.m.

Senior Men's Group, Tuesdays, from 1:00p.m. to 2:30p.m.

Low Vision Support Group, 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, 2:00p.m. to 3:30p.m.

Artful Aging (Crafting Your Purpose), 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, 1:00p.m. to 2:30p.m. |

Senior Adult Assessments provided in-home or in-office to determine the level of care, education and/ or community resources needed.
ELIGIBILITY: Referrals are made from a variety of sources. The admission process begins with a phone call to (928) 445-5211, ext 2672, and eligibility basics include: over 55 years of age; a behavioral health component is present; is a resident of the Prescott tri-city area; and is willing to participate. Staff review referrals on a case-by-case basis.
