That is a common phrase you hear from people visiting Prescott and area partner communities of Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey-Humboldt. Perhaps they have driven At Prescott Valley's Fain Park, a lovely chapel is now open for private thought and quiet time.north the 90 miles from Phoenix and are breathing a sigh of pleasure about the crisp mountain air, slower pace, and friendly folks. Maybe they are passing through on a cross-country drive to find this jewel of a community nestled next to national forest. Or, maybe they are actively seeking a new employment challenge, and opportunities within the Prescott area have caught their eye. 

What is it about the Prescott, Arizona area that causes such a stir?

  • A pace that's relaxed - but not too relaxed. There are festivals, arts fairs, symphony performances and and that's just for starters.

  • History, history and more history. People panned for gold in the 1860's. The National Register of  Historic Places has highlighted hundreds of area buildings for their historical value. The World's Oldest Rodeo keeps Old West  traditions alive

  • 90 minutes to Flagstaff (sun, fun, skiing, mountains, hiking)

Interesting fact: The city is named in  honor of William Hickling Prescott, a noted historian.
The town is one of Arizona's fastest growing communities. The town was the first Territorial Capital of Arizona, but the capital later moved to Prescott.
Dewey-Humboldt was incorporated as a Town in 2004
